This project was taken from concept to completion by KsaR Living, alongside Joost Van Grieken and Yvonne Hulst. Set behind the famous rice fields of Ubud in Bali, The Purist Villas mix modern architecture with the traditional Balinese style. Natural wood fibres, thatched roofs, stone walls and beautiful tiling provide the foundations for the resort’s luxurious style, complemented by the tropical gardens that surround each five-star holiday home.

Taking the concept of holiday architecture to a new level, The Purist Villas were newly built and designed with the lifestyle of a contemporary nomad in mind. Every element of the interior has been thoughtfully considered to complement the luxe nature of the exterior. Private plunge pools, spacious open-air living areas, alfresco dining spaces, stylish spa-like bathrooms and tranquil bedrooms set the scene for a relaxing experience.

Beyond the individual private villas, the design team also created a striking reception area, a relaxed restaurant and an incredible spa with both indoor and outdoor treatment areas, where clients can also practice yoga by the rustling treetops. The Purist Villas is completely immersed in nature and its architecture and interior design blends seamlessly into the landscape, respecting the surrounds at all times.
